Healing Through Trust

Time does not heal all wounds; healing comes through worship (obedience) and trust. It is never too late or too early to receive healing. God is always on time as revealed by Psalm 31:15—”My times are in Your hand; Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me.”

Time does not exist as the same construct to God as it is to mortal life on earth. A minute to us is a second to God, an hour is a minute, and a year is a day. Ecclesiastes 3:11— “He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.” In fact, God even made this clear when Job tested him, he countered his doubt with challenges of his own including how everything came to be. The Great I Am reveals His omnipotent ways in Job 38:4-7— “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding. Who determined its measurements? Surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? To what were its foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone, when the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy?” We as humans cannot answer these questions because of our finite minds, for God is infinite and knows the answers to every question.

Our flesh is often weak to trauma, pain, sickness, anxiety, depression, or even our vices. Jehovah-Rapha (Yahweh-Rapha) means “The Lord Who Heals” and indeed he does and will, in the Old Testament, The Son of God walked among us as a man. When Jesus was on earth, he performed miracles such as healing the blind, and resurrecting Lazarus from the dead. Today, we are called to be vessels for the Lord, the Holy Spirit mingles with ours and we are to do as he did as told in Matthew 10:8— “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

Jesus works through US now. We can speak against the sickness and disease, all spirits of infirmity. We are given dominion over these dark principalities, for they have no authority in God’s temple, and our bodies are all temples to be sanctified. If this is our purpose and God’s divine Will for us, then we can clean our temples out and adorn it with His righteousness. 1 Corinthians 6:19— “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?” Our earthly bodies are just on loan, the world is a wicked place and full of pain and sorrows. We will get colds, we will stub our toe, we will have trials and tribulations that Elohim will use for his glory, but we are to fight and to believe in healing in order to receive it. Never blame God for your pain or misery!

Satan steals our success; he robs us of the blessings God has for us by persuading us to come into agreement with his lies. We feed into the illusion we are weak when we are double minded from the doubt and worries. When the doctor’s diagnosis leads you to frantically researching a rare disease, you feed a spirit of fear. When you succumb to pressure for pain medications, you are lighting a path for addiction to invade your life. When you misplace your faith, the supernatural power of God within you wanes. Don’t place limitations on his power!

2 Timothy 1:7— “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” This scripture is evidence of the power that dwells within us from the Holy Spirit, all we need to do is rid our hearts and minds of all unbelief. I was not always a Child of God. I was dying in a hospital bed and the doctors told my family I had a 15% chance of survival and if I did survive, I would be paralyzed or worse, a vegetable. To perform brain surgery, although I had already fallen unconscious after a stroke, the neurosurgeon induced me in a medical coma. During a 7-day slumber, I fought through the sedatives, to the point where they had to increase the dosage and place me on even more of them. I was not consciously aware of the fight in my brain, but my spirit was fighting, and I knew God was with me.

My spirit called out to him, and when I woke on the 7th day, I accepted Jesus Christ into my heart. I didn’t know who I was, I didn’t know my ABCs, I didn’t even know my parent’s names although I knew from their faces, they were important to me. What I did know is that God saved me, and I was alive, and from that moment I gave my life to him. I faced many storms in my life, but with God I always overcame. With God, I have been healed of every disease I was ever diagnosed with, sicknesses such as cold and flu become quicker to recover from, mountains are moved in Jesus’ name and all it took was believing that with God anything is made possible. The doctors are still perplexed to this day what happened to me, how I regained every memory I lost in 2 weeks or how I am not paralyzed. I am a living breathing miracle, and I am just like you. God is no respecter of persons, I just accepted and received what he gave me, and you can do the same.

  1. Awesome. We must trust and believe, unbelief and doubt, fear all of these things can hinder us, We must learn to pray be humble and give our trials to our God for him to work things out for our good
