God’s Love

Neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:38-39

His love is steadfast. His love is firmly fixed in place, or immovable.

His love can not be taken away. Nothing can change God’s heart, or desire for you, not even your sin. He’s longing to be with you, He’s yearning for a relationship with you and He’ll do anything to have you in his arms, even if it means the sacrifice of His only begotten son for you.

Nothing can stop God from simply loving us.

No matter what we have done, that did not stop Him from spreading His love among us before we were created or even thought about.

God is so thoughtful. He is so kind. He is so selfless.

He wants us to experience everything well under the living Son. Yes, ‘Son’ not sun. The living Son of God. For He is the ruler of this earth, the King and the Lord.

He was kind enough to send His son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for us so we wouldn’t have to experience death. Jesus didn’t save us from dying on this earth, he saved us from spiritual death and gave us eternal life, which is the life we experience after we die on this earth. That place is called Heaven. Heaven is the place where we’ll finally get a chance to meet our Creator. There will be no more fears, no more tears, no more pain. It’ll just be Him, our beloved, whom we’ll meet face to face, and He will be there to wipe every tear away.

Contrary to Heaven, hell is the place where those who didn’t choose the love of God are destined to go. Unfortunately because of the fall of man, we are all destined to hell. Our human nature tends to contrast the nature of God. It goes against how God originally wanted us to be. We were created holy, righteous, perfect, and sinless in the beginning according to the book of Genesis but Adam committed the first sin for mankind. He chose to go against God’s plan and disobey Him, when he allowed the devil to deceive him into thinking he could become God, knowing everything. The penalty of the sin he committed was death.

Originally God created man to live eternally on the earth but the earth became stained with sin, and that sin spread and every day causes the earth to rot or decay. Bad people happen because of sin, not because of God because God is righteous, holy, and just. That is why God planned to give us a new heaven and earth, where there will be no more diseases, sickness, wickedness, illness, death, etc.

On the other hand, because Adam couldn’t keep the promises of God He sent His son to make things right. Jesus Christ is the only one who remains holy, righteous, perfect, and sinless. He is the only one who has not fallen for the trick of the enemy. That’s why He was chosen to die for us. Even though Adam was disobedient, Jesus was obedient and took the place of Adam so that those who chose to follow Jesus would be a part of something new. No longer under the curse that sin brought forth because Jesus exchanges death for life.

In the book of Genesis, it’s very evident and clear how humans are nowhere near capable of becoming God. God is our creator, our Heavenly Father and he’s also responsible for taking care of every single one of us. He knows every single one of us by name. He even knows how many hairs are on each one of our heads. He goes out of His way to make sure every single one of us are protected even when we’re unaware.

God’s protection may look like this:

  • Your tire goes flat just before you’re on your way to work
  • A person breaking up with you for no reason at all
  • A job firing you on your day off
  • He could wake you up an hour later than the time you’re supposed to be up for your child’s doctor’s appointment.

While those things don’t feel good to experience, it was for your good. God sees everything everywhere before it even occurs.

~ He saw the lady texting on her phone and not paying attention to the road the morning your tire went flat, so to prevent you from running into her he allowed you to get a flat tire.

~ Although things may have felt like it was going well with your partner, things take a left turn. Valentine’s day is approaching and you can’t wait till they treat you to a dinner y’all were talking about and exchange gifts. You’re so excited, you can’t help but imagine what your gift is and how your day is going to be. You imagine them giving you a big teddy bear, chocolate-covered strawberries, and a beautiful bouquet of roses to be exact while you’re both at a candlelit dinner, professional violin players playing their instruments in the background, and you even manage to imagine them proposing to you. Until the next day comes and they text you, “I’m sorry but this isn’t going to work out. We no longer can be together. I’m breaking up with you”.

First, you think it’s a joke or a prank because they decided to text you, after all, who decides to break up over a text? You then notice they’ve blocked you on everything including the messaging app they texted you from. You’re stunned because you thought things were going great and you couldn’t wait to see them on valentines day and now you’re heart is broken into two.

In reality, God saw that the person who you thought was your forever was no good for you. They were seeing someone else behind your back, and they couldn’t tell you face to face because they had no respect for you. While they were texting you they were out with the other person who they’d been seeing way before you two got together. That person didn’t have the guts to speak with you face to face, they were too scared. Also, God saw how you were putting that person before Him. He saw you idolizing that person and making them your god. So the very person you thought was good for you, God saw how bad they were to you when you weren’t around, and he doesn’t like seeing His children hurt.

~ God heard the person who saw you next in line for a promotion plotting a plan against you with other coworkers who disliked you for no reason at all to get you fired, but He used their evil ways to upgrade you to a manager position with a bonus plan somewhere else, and that new job opportunity was scheduled to give you a call the next day.

~ God saw that the doctor who was supposed to give your child a check-up come into work sick today, so to prevent you and your family from getting sick, he chose not to let you go in by waking you up an hour later.

God’s ways are different than our ways. He moves differently than us. What may seem bad to us are the very things God uses to save us because we can’t see the bigger picture, the danger that lies ahead of us, or the things being done behind our backs.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,

neither are your ways my ways,”

declares the Lord.

“As the heavens are higher than the earth,

so are my ways higher than your ways

and my thoughts than your thoughts.

– Isaiah 55:8-9

The moment we pray for God to let His will be done and we ask Him to protect us, that’s exactly what He does. That’s why it is a MUST we pray, we must talk to God every day because He is our Father. Our Father loves us and desires to keep us safe from evil, danger, and wrongdoing. Most importantly we get to brag about our Father. Our God, the one true living God is the sovereign ruler of this universe, He is the Creator of the heavens and the earth, and He is the All-knowing one who sees all and knows all. When we ask for His help, He is there always and forever because He promised Himself he would be.

God was existing before Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve only existed because of God, not the other way around. God created them, they didn’t create Him. God created everything (the earth, heaven, every living animal, human, plant, etc…). He created everything we see with our eyes and that is evidence that God exists because man can’t create without the power of Him. They can’t create outside of how God created it to be because then that’s where dysfunction comes in. That’s exactly why this world is dysfunctional and perverse because it’s trying to operate without God to someway somehow prove to Him that they don’t need Him to be powerful or to exist. And that’s exactly how the enemy operated against Adam and Eve. The enemy wanted them to focus on his lies and take their eyes off of God’s love.

God doesn’t fall for the devil’s lie as we do. He saw the devil coming before the devil fell from heaven like lightning. That’s why He is God because no one can outsmart Him and there is none like Him.

Mankind can only imitate but they don’t have the power of God to bring it to life. No man on this earth can’t create another earth, and that’s more than likely why life is virtual now. Man can’t create what God created in the beginning but the power of technology has allowed people to create whatever they want on the internet, so they can feel as though they’re in control, or they can be the god of their universe, or the virtual universe to be honest. Wow, go figure. But it’s impossible because God is in control and if it wasn’t for Him there would be no such thing as the internet.

God gave Adam one command, to not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. That’s it, that’s all. God trusted Adam with everything He blessed them with on the earth but Adam failed Him and disobeyed that one command. It took that one time to fall and death, or separation from God was put on mankind.

It was then that the eyes of the man were open. They saw things in a way they were never created to see. When Adam and Eve ate that fruit, their eyes were opened like the devil said but it wasn’t in the way he meant. He told them a half-truth, he lured them in with the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. He got them to exchange the love of God for temporary pleasure. They hid and tried to cover their nakedness because they perversely saw each other. They were now prone to lust after each other in ways God never intended them to, and because they knew they weren’t created to be that way they hid from their very own Father.

To this day, the enemy still operates in the same old ways and honestly it works every single time.

That’s why God made a promise to Himself because He knew we couldn’t keep one. He knew we would fail Him and disobey Him from time to time because we are no longer perfect. We are humans who need Him, our Savior. It was always supposed to be that way. We can’t live life without Him because He created us to worship Him in everything we do.

God is more than red emoji hearts. He is bigger than a cupid carrying around his bow and arrows. God doesn’t need to spread love in the air because He is love. Valentine’s Day is a great holiday for romantic couples but it doesn’t represent true love. The love of God was given to us, the love of valentine’s day is temporary.

This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

-1 John 4:10

Don’t get me wrong, it’s beautiful to see how creative we can get on such holidays. It’s a beautiful thing to see men getting dressed up for their women and dedicating their time and effort with the love of their life. It’s amazing to see men and women thinking outside of the box and going over the top for their loved one but for some it makes them feel as though they have to do something special only on that particular day, or else they’ll never hear the end of it from their husband or wife. For some they don’t do it from a place of love, they do it from a place of obligation. And for some they do it for something in return, only to move on to the next person.

However,

God’s love presents us with something special every day, something we can hold on to, we can hope for, or in this case someONE we can hope for.

That someone is Jesus, longing to meet us and to be with the precious ones He died to save in Heaven up above eternally.

He wants us to realize that everything in life isn’t going to be handed to us. By faith, we have access to it but it is not going to be given to us without us consistently being prepared to receive and maintain it. By faith we have to listen to Him and do what He says because He knows best. He knows if He was to give us something with a lack of knowledge or with the wrong mindset, we would immediately lose it or spiral out of control. He commands us not to do certain things because He knows there will be consequences that we will have to face and it separates us from His presence or voice in our life.

“So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.

~ Jesus Christ

-Matthew 18:14

That is why He would like for us to depend on Him when the adversary comes to try to kill our joy or deceive us. We have to be so deeply rooted in God’s love to not let up what the adversary has come to do in our lives. You have to know that God loves you, that no matter how you feel about yourself God is there just to love you.

His love is freely given, nothing about His love has to be earned.

He doesn’t want you to be stuck on what you’ve done, who you’ve harmed, or what happened in your past because with God’s love he can change you into someone completely new. He wants to give you a new heart, a heart that’s remorseful and repentant. He wants to turn you into someone who doesn’t look like what they’ve been through, or someone who doesn’t look like what they used to do. God doesn’t work on the outer appearance, he doesn’t work on the body or face until he’s worked on your inner appearance.

Your heart is what matters most, your mind is what matters most, your spirit is what matters most because without it you won’t be able to function. God’s love, His Holy Spirit is what comes in and replaces the old you. He chose you that was destined to hell, always falling for the devil’s lie, and always running back to your past when things get tough in life. He didn’t choose the perfect you. He wants to perfect the old you, and from there He replaces the old you with a new you.

God’s love is what turns a cold hardened heart into a soft heart. God’s love is what throws out that toxic waste and replaces it with his sweet spirit that gives the power of self-love, self-control, and a sound mind, so the enemy can’t come in and overcome you. The devil will tempt you but the God in you will overcome him every single time. His love in you defeats the work of the devil.

God’s love has turned the mind of the insane and made them sane. He turns the heart of the cold into a heart of flesh. He turns the poor spiritually rich. He heals the sick from their disease or illness. He gives the wicked a chance to be righteous. He turns evil into good, and because of Him we no longer see through the lens of the enemy because of Adam’s fall into sin but through the love of Jesus Christ.

For as by the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man’s obedience, the many will be made righteous.

Romans 5:19

Don’t be fooled to think that without His Son, Jesus Christ, you can live because He is God’s love manifested for us!

And if you don’t have Love, you have nothing.

One Response

  1. God has made away for us, He is so much more than we can ever understand. But we needed a Savior a way of escape and He sent Jesus. I am so thankful
