Eyes are Windows to the Soul Pt 2

Are ghosts real? Certainly, but there are not separate from good/bad spirits such as angels/demons. Ghosts are not loved ones visiting to comfort us, nor are they the spirits of people that died with unfinished business. There is no in between, there is only the Holy Spirit and angels, and demonic spirits that can deceive us. This is made evident in Hebrews 9:27— “And it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,” the judgment of course being heaven or hell.

An evil spirit can put on the guise of our loved ones, they love to feign love and comfort to catch us off guard. Next, we begin to question the realm of the unknown, we begin to question our mentality, we get caught up on the effect rather than the cause. We get distracted! Satan is the author of confusion; he wants us to question the elements of our faith.

In the book, “The Screw Tape Letters” by C.S. Lewis, a demon named Screwtape is appealing to his nephew Wormwood and “educating” him about the cunning way a demon can infiltrate the mind of a believer and turn his own beliefs against him. In his first letter the demon Uncle explains: “Above all, do not attempt to use science (I mean, the real sciences) as a defence (sic) against Christianity. They will positively encourage him to think about realities he can’t touch and see. There have been sad cases among the modern physicists. If he must dabble in science, keep him on economics and sociology; don’t let him get away from that invaluable “real life”. But the best of all is to let him read no science but to give him a grand general idea that he knows it all and that everything he happens to have picked up is casual talk and reading is the “results of modern investigation”. Do remember you are there to fuddle him.” (Lewis, C.S, Dendy, W., & Green, R.B. (1952). The Screwtape Letters. London: G. Bles.) If we are focused on ourselves, man’s wisdoms and ways, rather than God’s inspired living Word then we are more vulnerable to infiltration from the enemy. He will twist our thoughts and have us placing our faith in everything BUT Jesus Christ.

When you misplace your faith, your spirit weakens and the almighty power of God wanes. Without the Dunamis power, we cannot work wonders in his name and our adversary succeeds in robbing us of our own miracles. Don’t let the enemy deceive you into thinking he has won no matter the trials you face because in 2 Chronicles 20:15— “And he said, “Listen, all of you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you: Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.”  If the battle is not ours, we know it is already won because none can rival the Lord. Trust in the Lord and have saving faith, holdfast that faith in the Great I Am and witness the masterpiece he can fashion out of any mess in your life.

Message to ALL:

DO NOT celebrate fear, do NOT celebrate death, do NOT glorify evil, do NOT give any place to the enemy. Satan is patient, he will wait for the first opportunity he gets to pounce. A crack in the window becomes a wide-open door once he creeps in. When we come into agreement with these things such as watching horror movies or listening to vulgar music, we are entertaining spirits. Why would it be any different than an act of kindness entertaining angels? If we feed into the fear and anything else we make pacts with, we are welcoming those things into our lives to take hold. There are 2 sides to the coin, good and evil. No grey areas. It is either black or white, just as night is separate from the day. Both angels and demons are your audience, who will you choose to entertain?
