Deception Decorated with Desires

When you think of evil, do you envision darkness and death? When we think of the devil, we imagine something sinister: cloven hooves, red skin, and horns. Well, some do anyway, but the devil was once Lucifer; a beautiful angel of the Most High. In Ezekiel 28:13 we learn how beloved this angel was before his fall– “You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were created.” The definition of deception is to persuade or entice with tricks.”

Naturally if someone wants to deceive you, they are not going to be so obvious about their intentions so why would they appear evil. False prophets are wolves in the guise of sheep. Matthew 7:15-16 explains– “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?” With deception, they will “fake” it to make you believe they are “real.” An apple can look healthy and shiny on the outside and still be rotten to the core, but you do not always know until you take a bite.

So many Christians are taking a bite out of bad apples because they look pleasing to the eye, but we have learned that “all that glitters isn’t gold,” you would think we would have learned from Eve’s mistake with the forbidden fruit. They say God will send people as messengers to warn them of evil, and indeed he has and does this often. I personally have been used by the Lord to expose hidden agendas and false doctrines through dreams and the gift of discernment from the Holy Spirit. In 1 John 4:1-6- “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.”

A true Christian baptized in the Holy Spirit will know what is right and what is wrong despite how good something may appear. Many times, you approach someone that has been deceived, they will get defensive and angry, this only makes this Scripture more evident when falling for a wolf’s lies.

Those that “bear false witness” will mingle man’s traditions with God’s inspired Word, and we all know this is very unwise. Kat Kerr will tout her own beliefs and place value on them by proclaiming it to be the voice of God. She also claims that all the unborn babies that died in the womb have had their souls recycled and will be placed in the next born baby. This would suggest that reincarnation was real, and it would also mean that the child that would have been born had no value on their life, because a new life would have been created with a new pregnancy. There would be a soul per baby, not one soul interchangeable through different earthly bodies. Another wild claim is that she communes with angels in the heavenly courts and visits Jesus in her spirit to heaven daily, this is not holy, and she is not communicating with angels because the Bible cannot support this action.

This concept of travelling in the spirit is known as “astral projection.” There were only 2 prophets, Elijah and Enoch that were “raptured” while in their earthly bodies to see heaven as told in 2 Kings 2 which I will not fully discuss in this blog, but I encourage you to read for yourself. She also believes she can control the angels and send them on missions, but we know to pray to God not angels. Lest we give them the same credit Satan wanted. That is not to say that angels and demons are not battling in invisible warfare around us daily, because they are but we do not control angels, and to demons we have the authority to tell them to leave in the name of Jesus Christ. There are many others that make outrageous claims in the name of God, but this one seems to stand out among the rest. Anyone that associates with NAR (New Apostolic Reformation) should be avoided because the people are demonized and tools for deception.

Remember to always test the spirits, and always pray for discernment so you will know when you have met one of these tricksters or have an opportunity to expose the lies. Pay close attention to what follows these people, many of them are famous and investing in private jets. They will say things that will “tickle” your ears. They will give you false hope and lead you to place your faith in the wrong things and invest your time and money in lies. It is not just false prophets but also everyday people you meet, the enemy can use them to lead you astray. Keep your armor God up, pray daily, and stay in the Word and Yahweh will show you the Truth.

  1. An excellent word. Yes, deception is in the church. As you pointed out, one of those pathways to deception is NAR.
