What Is Your Source of Power?

There are two sources of power that exist in this world, because there are two types of spirits – one of God and the other is of Satan. Whichever power we tap into determines whether we reap a harvest of righteousness and God’s blessings, or a harvest of evil and Satan’s counterfeits. There is no neutral power. There are no neutral gods. There is not a neutral spiritual realm. There is no “white magic vs. black magic”. You are either consulting with the Heavenly realm or the demonic realm.

When you seek wisdom from Ouija boards, tarot cards, psychic mediums, Oracles, astrology, palm readings and so forth, rather than seeking the sovereign and infinite wisdom from our all-knowing & all-powerful God, you are opening doors to demonic realms… EVEN IF THE PREDICTIONS ARE ACCURATE & TRUE!! When you are deriving power from healing stones, chakras, and nature, you are worshipping the creation rather than the Creator of those things. Too many Christians have become deceived by these mediums and believe that the Spirit of God exists in these practices. But God is clear in His instructions to not consult these things, for the dangerous consequences that inevitably follow. “Do not turn to mediums [who pretend to consult the dead] or to spiritists [who have spirits of divination]; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God.”– Leviticus 19:32 (AMP). I know so many people that have dabbled into magic & witchcraft and could not rid themselves from the demonic attacks that have followed them (even after repenting and coming to faith in Jesus) without supernatural deliverance.

The same goes for those who practice manifestation by means of speaking things into existence and declaring positive affirmations over their lives. Let me be clear, there is a biblical basis for the power that we have in our words and speaking the Word of God over our lives to produce good fruit. “The tongue has power of life and death, and those that love it will eat its fruit.”- Proverbs 18:21 (NIV). There is a biblical basis for seeking the will of God and getting into agreement with His will so we can partner with Him. There is a biblical basis for praying and petitioning in Jesus’s Holy name. BUT we cannot manifest and produce whatever it is that we want in our own will, with our own power.

There is a distinct difference between declaring and decreeing that God’s will be done in my life and speaking repetitive words into the universe that I will marry Zac Efron. I can pray in faith that the Lord will protect me, take care of me, that He will move in the hearts of my unsaved loved ones, and that He will fulfill the desires He has placed within my heart, but that is not the same thing as speaking that I will obtain good fortune into existence. When we tap into that type of power, we are tapping into powers of the demonic realm, and we are not submitting to the will of God.

God created us to be in relationship with Him, to be in fellowship with Him, and to partner with Him. We can do no things apart from Him. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”- John 15:5 (NIV). So how can be partner with His will for our lives on earth and be submissive to Him if we are only seeking to manifest our own will? Anything in this world that I have to obtain through spell-binding and practicing witchcraft, I want nothing to do with. Satan promises us that we can inherit everything in this whole earth, but those inheritances come with a price tag; and what good is that if you lose your soul? For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?”Mark 8:36 (ESV).

  1. Amen! Good word this morning! We see so many “Christians” in our Deliverance Ministry caught up in this mess and demonized, some severely, by this New Age, N.A.R. witchcraft! It’s so sad, BUT thanks be unto God for His awesome Love and power to cast out these evil, vile, wicked spirits and to be able to know the Truth that will always set one free, in Jesus’ Name! :).
