The Vision
It Ain’t Over Ministries is a vision that God gave to the Founder, David B. Fore while he was serving time incarcerated for 5 years in the state of Georgia, at Lee State Prison. The name of the Ministry came about from the ability to be “Born Again” (John 3). While David was on the prison yard one day walking around and praying, he was asking God how he would be able to make it once released and having to be on probation for 15 years; with nowhere to go, no money and no help to be seen. As soon as people hear the title “Convicted Felon”, they always, automatically throw up a wall and begin to think the absolute worst of you, regardless of knowing anything else about you. It was during this time of walking and praying that David heard the Lord speak to him, in his heart and in his spirit. The Lord said to him, “Son, It Ain’t Over. Regardless of what anyone says about you; what they may think about you; what they may have heard about you; or even what they may know about you, It Ain’t Over! No matter what color you are, how tall, or short or thin or big, It Ain’t Over! Regardless of what title you must wear from the world or what label they stick on you, It Ain’t Over! And for sure, no matter what you have done in the past, It Ain’t Over!” HALLELUJAH!!! Thank God Almighty, that It Ain’t Over!
That day the Holy Spirit spoke to him and reminded him that, “It Ain’t Over”. When the world says it’s over, and that you will never be anything in this world, you are a no-good, nobody likes you, nobody loves you and the things that God has asked of you and called you to do, the world constantly tells you, no, NO it’s over! God said, “It Ain’t Over!” So, with that confirmation and Word from the Lord, we gave that phrase to the naming of the Ministry that God has given us the vision for. The vision that God gave him is massive in its totality and will be huge when it comes to total fruition and completion. The overall mission of the Ministry is to help people coming out of jail and prison transition back into becoming productive members of society. The vision that was given consisted of a piece of land large enough to be able to support a housing/residential space and Ministry office space facility along with enough room on the remaining property to be able to grow a large enough garden and provide adequate space for raising livestock in order to support the food for the clients of the Ministry and with anything left over after that to be given to the local homeless shelters and soup kitchens in the area. The residential facility would be designed to house up to 100 people coming out of the jails and prisons who need a place to live for a short period of time in order for them to get reacclimated to society and get “on their feet” with a stable job and eventually their own housing. We would like to be able to house 50 men and 50 women.
The vision included space inside the same facility to house the Ministries office space, multi-purpose rooms for different activities such as group counseling sessions, individual counseling sessions, worship services, Bible Studies, life-skills classes, and family visitation spaces. The facility would have one centralized commercial style kitchen that would serve meals for people throughout the day and while the clients were coming and going about their daily business. We know and understand that this is a gargantuan endeavor and that it may take years and years to see the final mission completed; but we too know the power of the God Whom we serve, and we know that He will bring it to pass as He told us He would.
